About Us

What is Homework on Wheels?
HOW is an educational/tutoring service designed to help students be more successful in school.

Because California raised expectations for student achievement with the implementation of the California state standards and Common Core, students often need extra support to successfully meet those expectations. Some parents find they don't have the knowledge, patience, or time to adequately help their children with nightly homework and test preparation. HOW provides parents with a new unique service where Homework Helpers/tutors come to their homes to lend assistance.

Homework Helpers/tutors are trained, highly successful college Juniors, Seniors, Graduate Students, recent graduates recommended by their professors and young credentialed teachers. They are role models (big brothers/sisters) for their clients. We have found that our clients work much harder for their tutors than they do for themselves, their parents or their teachers at school because of the trusting relationship that is established through one-on-one tutoring.

Helpers/tutors are available after school, early evenings, and on weekends to help with homework assignments, test preparation and tutoring.
